Help on control arms please.........

I'm hearing some clunking in my suspension, both front and rear. I've gone 60k miles without ever having any of the control arms replaced/fixed, so I'm assuming it's the control arms.

My understanding is that there are 8 control arms that can potentially have problems. Is this correct?

How much do these parts cost?

How much have you guys paid to have them fixed?

Check your bushings and shocks too. . .

and yes, there are 8 control arms. $535 not shipped from www.ecstuning.com. Usually the upper ones are the problems, but some people have found it better to do them all at once. Depends on your budget.

I got mine from ECS tuning...

I had the clunk in my last A4 and replaced only the upper straight control arms. Problem solved.

put grease fittings on the new ones. no more problem

and has the dealer run the vin? some of the early A4's arms and tie rods were replaced under warranty.

That's their price for all of them...

I'm not sure if it includes the new hardware or not. Their site should tell you. I know that they were backordered on this a few weeks ago.
