Default Help with fault code P1136
My 2000 A4 1.8T has a check engine light on. My local Autozone scanned it and got a code P1136/Fan Control Circuit Malfuntion. I had them shut off the light but it came back on. The gas cap is on tightly. Anybody have experience with this?

The car is out of warranty. The dealer cannot see it until Feb 17th. Is it okay to drive it for this long?

Default P1136 doesn't have anything to do with a fan. it means your system is running lean.
Replace vac lines first, then VAG it and check the MAF.

Would that suggest the 02 sensor?

O2 sensor, MAF, air system leak are what I'd venture a guess at.
