HELP! My oil sensor light came on all of a sudden !!!!!

HELP! My oil sensor light came on all of a sudden !!!!!
i drive for a bit then the oil sensor comes on but when i turn it off the car and start it the light stays off is it ok to drive just check the oil manually thanks in advance

My wife's is doing that once in a great while now....talked to my tech...
Oil light comes on, plenty of oil, oil temp is fine, restarting car takes care of it.
My tech said their is a screen somewhere that can build up with debris, and that can cause it. We are taking it in on Monday, and he is going to look at it.

hold up.....do you mean the blinking "oil" light in the odometer?.......
or a big red nasty oil warning light in the trip computer?
if it's just in the odometer, don't sweat it. That's just a mileage counter that has counted a certain # of miles since it was last reset. It doesn't know the actual status of your oil.
If it's the bid red warning light, you could have problems.
