Help needed. please read...
Hey everyone! I just installed a Neuspeed tie bar yesterday. It looks really cool however there is one major problem. The cutout that was made for the exhaust flexpipe does not clear my flexpipe on my car. It seems like my exhaust is running closer to the right side then it is supposed to be. I compared this with 2 other A4's and an S4 in the shop that I had it installed at. Their cars seemed to have the exhaust at a proper angle.
Anyway, this caused rubbing to the tie bar during acceleration that causes a major vibration all throughout the car. I just had it removed today but the shop cannot take returns and I do not know what to do. I went to about 5 muffler shops in town and they all said the same thing. They CAN NOT bend or move the pipes because they cannot put pressure on the flexpipe. I have no other alternative now then to just keep it off. I feel quite bad I have wasted quite a significant amount of money on this beautiful piece of work that doesnot fit my car.
Please give me any advice or suggestions as to any course of action I can take to remedy this situation. If there is no solution, I will probably just have to sell this piece. I'll sell it as brand new since it was on my car for less then 24 hrs. Let me know if anyone is interested.
