Default no because paint colors are mixed (at a body shop) and then applied.

like I said, it's not like going to Home Depot. you can't just pick up a particular paint color. you can't just walk into a store that sells Audi brilliant black. unless you know how to mix paint, then you're not going to do this at home. and, I highly doubt a body shop would mix paint for you and then give it to you to apply, which would need to be soon thereafter.

you can buy the touch-up stuff, but not a large quantity to paint a bumper cover.

Default Huh? Not true. Well, not exactly.

You can certainly go to an automotive body supply shop and get quarts mixed up per the colour code. Every major city has at least a few.

For example, paintscratch.com sources from San Leandro Color. They are not a body shop.

True, good body shops will order their own bases and mix, and any car that's not brand new will need adjustments from the stock code for fading, etc.

Default I guess that's up to the shop.

IMO, if you want a chance at a perfect match, you give a body shop your car.

Default That is a good point. Maybe I can try to get at a place like

im_cecil suggests and if that doesn't work, i will take it to a body shop.
You guys are very helpful.
Thank you.

Default just take your color code to an autobody supply shop ...i believe brillant black is ly9b

but check that. The better thing to do would be to bring your gas door in to the store and let them check it with their gun. This way there is no mistake. You can't figure out how much paint you will need till you figure out what paint manufactor/line you choose. They all have different mixing ratios.

Default Color-rite is the best, IMO.

You can pick your color by vehicle. It's a great company.<ul><li><a href="http://www.color-rite.com">Click it!</a></li></ul>
