Default Help Please!

Ok, I have almost 75k on my 1.8t. Ive had it chipped since about 35-40k. I had the stupid Evo Cold Air in it since about 30k. And about 3k ago I put in a 3" test pipe. I am a fairly conservative driver, mainly because of the wife...Ok on with it..

I just took about a 1200 mile road trip over the weekend. Everything seemed to be running fine. Two days ago I felt a bit of loss in power. I would put my foot down in the normal 1/4 throttle I always would. And all it would do would suck air. I could barely hear any turbo spool if any. Then I would just stomp on it in the next shift and finally the turbo would spool full blown(this happens sometimes, like I can stomp on it sometimes and it will not go). Other times it will spool low end. It makes up its own mind. Do you think my MAF is going? Or my turbo is about to go? TIA! Let me know if you need more info...

I thought about taking a look at that this weekend...Which one would you reccomend?

Default just get a 710N

cheap and fairly disposible, and can last a very long time

Default So you think that since the turbo can boost full blast still...

It probably isnt that? And when a MAF goes, it totally goes right?

Default yes, and the MAF would be less severe...based on your description, and having had similar issues

i think the turbo is being bypassed and therefore isnt responsive.

MAF's are funny things....you are DBW so you dont have the same all or nothing. I think if you vag'd your car you would see lag behavior
