Hesitation & Power decrease after disconnecting battery?...(30v)

I recently installed a sub and after disconnecting the battery, my car seems to have no power at all. Occasionally, it seems to kick in, but it feels as though the engine's not getting enough gas (running 91 oct). In searching, I found that this may be due to the ECU (stock) relearning fuel maps; which leads me to assume that this problem may go away. But, I've experienced this on and off since I bought the car (more since the battery disconnect). I thought this may have been due to a bad O2 sensor, but that's been replaced. Is there anything I can check in the engine bay that I may have not reconnected or something? My car just has no power at all. TIA, phil.

you know it could be the battery itself or a poor alternator

if the battery isnt up to standard (which means you prolly need at the least 1000 cranking amps), the alernator might have to work harder or it might take away from the alternator to generate power to run your car.

check that out....find out how many CA/CCA your battery is, and check your meter in your dash..

I was referring to engine hesitation/power decrease...sorry for the confusion

no luck, were these the correct steps?

- disconnect/reconnect battery
- insert & turn key to run
- leave key on run for 2 mins.
- turn key off & remove
- reinsert key and start

do I need to turn it off and back on again before driving...I drove it after the final step
