HID Install Question
yea..i didn't use any resistors, just hook it up directly and it works fine.. (as long as your ballast is 35W and works with 12V source....)
i don't see a problem with hooking ur ballast up to ur stock wiring, shouldn't be a problem. If your fuse blows out, change the fuse with higher resistance and it'll be ok....fortunately, my fuse didn't blow out, so i didn't have to change the fuse.
That's just plain wrong on both counts.
1. Fuse selection is not based in it's internal resistance.
2. When a fuse blows, it's because something is wrong, replacing it with a higher/lower amperage doesn't make it right.
Either you'll be replacing fuses way too often, or you'll be waiting for a fire to happen. Size your fuse based on your wiring, because that's the only thing it's meant to protect.
Romy: you're right, you have to be careful when you change fuses. I was only referring to instructions in ProtocolID's HID installation advices at audizine as well as other people's experiences with blown fuses after installing their HID ballasts.
