when we did the stage 3 install, donp and I referred to the service manuals for the correct routing of the BFV (after we made an guess and saw the car go to 28psi and stay there...bad).

Well, found out the other day as a result of yippers and Charlie's dialogue that the service manuals and Bentley are wrong.

Never set any codes, but it was 'spikey' under wot and part throttle...i never questioned it though.

hmmm...i guess i don't fully understand how the BFV operates since some say you wouldn't have any boost control with it flipped. Obviously i had some boost control, since I never saw more than 27.5psi or so (a spike) with it flipped. dunno.

Default Yep. Audi puts them in backwards...

or at least did on mine (98.5). Pretty amazing what happens when I put the PES BPV in...realy smooth now.

You're talking about a by-pass valve,I think he's talking about Boost Frequency Valve.

$95 electrical relay that controls the wastegate. three vac lines run into it.
