Default How does one use this?

What kind of receiver does this fit in or should I just use 10mm socket...

Measure the shank ,most fit a domestic socket for some reason.

Default It's 10mm exact... This is the first time I'm using one so I'm a bit nervous.

I thought it was meant for a special receiver or something similar.

Default No , nothing special . I have a 4 pc set of those and they work fine.

Just hard to get lot of torque on them unless you hold hand over it to keep the socket engaged. If I had to use them more, I'd buy the kit with the sockets attached.
