letting your turbo cool-down after driving?

Default very important to let the oil warm up and cool down before making the turbo work hard.
That is the big reason why turbo cars are suspectible to turbo failures...the failure to warm/cool down.

The turbo uses oil for lubrication as well as cooling.

cool down important to let oil flow back to engine and to avoid 'hot spots' on turbo

I think you're confusing brake rotors with your turbo.
