how many people have an aftermarket alarm and if you do what are you running?

bother in law is using a clifford two-way....i just bought the avintguard 5.5 from cliffod!
i think it all depends on your need from the alarm, i took the 5.5 becuase i was told simply the best! has ever sensor, every module, the wires are not color coded (all wires are one color) etc etc...but at the end of the day, if theives can steal my 2001 s500 from the driveway without a key and a toe truck, then what alarm is really good! if they want your s$hit, there gonna get it, and if they cant there gonna f*ck your **** up in the process.

i think i might buy up the viper 5000. its their best one. do you guys know if you can still use
your key's disarm button or is the key just a key after puttin the aftermarket alarm on? thanks for the help

i dont think so, from what one shop told me, they do a complete bypass of the system, but if
i were you id ask a million shops, i spoke to a tech at directed, and he said it doesnt matter how good or bad the features are on the alarm, but if the install is ****! then why even have it, a flashing light is no longer a deterrent to proper theives.
