Don't worry -- it happens to the best of us.
Do you have glass coverage? Most insurance companies offer 100% glass coverage with no deductable.
If you are paying out of pocket, a windshield is usually in the ballpark of $300 installed.
If your installer can get it, specify PPG glass.

Damn super strong wiper arms.
Don't buy a used one. Get it professionally done. PPG glass comes highly recommended. Get the OEM molding. You don't have glass coverage?

I'll never understand why people don't pay the extra $3 a month for windshield insurance
The winter roads are so bad here in Utah, I just can't imagine having to buy a new windshield every couple of years.
