How much for a cpu?

I have just ordered a 99 1.8tqms after a long battle with my self. I am another honda convert coming off an 89 legend V6 5speed. This car has over 220000 miles with a great reliability record. I decided on the 1.8t because of the potential hp gains. I haven't driven any chipped vechiles and the dealer did not want to even aknowledge my questioning about the use of a chip. (although there is a very nice lowered, exhausted 1.8 with rims and I would assume at least a chip upgrade that a mechanic drives on the lot.) So I am planning on chipping as soon as the engine is broken in. I am however very concerned about the potential problems with the warranty. I am considering purchasing another CPU so that I can swap when needed. How much can I expect to spend for another unit? Can anyone tell me of any warranty friendly Audi dealers in and around CT?Also one last thing. Neuspeed or Wett 1.0 pros and cons appreciated. Thanks

Jamie, What part of CT are you in. Pray is the best around the southern part of the state, they take a long time to get an appointment, but they are good and the last time I was in they loned me an A6, so it was worth the wait. I strongly recomend a second ECU if you e-mail me I'll tell you why and if you need any advice on tuning I have done many things to my 1.8TQM, Tap stage II Eibach springs/Koni shocks Stress bar,front Ronal R-27,17X8.5,Pirelli P7000SS, 225/45/17z Scorpion Exaust K+N filter Oil press and Turbo gauge, VDO to match the dash. Schroth safety harness, red. Debadged Kamia grill with no emblems Sub in trunk Silver/black Stonegaurd invisible bra Factory bra Fog lights wired to stay on with brights Second fog light in rear Hands free digital hand held phone mounted under arm rest. Arm rest, Oem. Winter matts Red line oil. Dummy switch on dash replaced with oem fog light switch, and wired to light up. 50 watt hallogen backup light bulbs Sunroof,sports pkg,trip computer,Cd changer.
