How not to dump coolant while changing temp sensor

How do you change the coolant temp sensor without dumping a bunch of coolant out all over the place?

Never done it myself, but apparently not much coolant will leak out.

According to digital's previous posts...

do it in the morning when the car is dead cold. Very little should spill out.

Do it when everything is cold, and keep the cap on the tank..

that will keep a vacuum on the system. you shouldn't lose that much, if any.

i did mine last week, nothing spilled out

you can also loosen the reservoir cap.

ditto, none spilled out for me either. Car was cool. Resevoir cap was on. PS make sure....

you don't break the little plastic clip off. It pulls out towards the firewall NOT up towards you.
