Default Do you feel lucky?
I wanted to replace my fuel filter at 30k miler, but I was told that the Audi fuel filter was a lifetime part. That's total BS, but unfortunately I found nobody who was able to change the fuel filter on my quattro without pulling the tank and rear axle out. In the meantime, I have found instructions on this site how to change the filter without going through all that.
Anyway, I got 122k mi on clock, and I still have the original filter in there, but if it was easier, I'd change the filter every 30k miles.

Default i changed mine at 75k
didn't go through the trouble of blowing into it...just gave me piece of mind. we lit that thing up like a napom and threw it onto the beach.

Default mine's fwd.
so it was very simple. ~$14 filter, 20 min of work with ramps. it's right my my resonator so bolt off and bolt on.

it's a PITA, about 1.5 hours if it's your first time doing it.
