I have a pretty noticeable scratch on my instrument cluster from my TT install. Will my car's real

*mileage* still display when I pickup a cluster from a junkyard? Where is the mileage information kept? Will a MY2000+ cluster work on my 99.5 A4? Thanks.

Mileage is stored in the cluster.

A cluster from a junkyard will show that vehicle's mileage.

You can get 'virgin' clusters from the dealership, which can be programmed only once.

once u get the used cluster you can hook up the vag-tool and put the mileage where you had it

on thing is you can only put mileage on, you can't take away.

you can put mileage on...once only.

like I said....the cluster will come with NO milage on it...and you can input whatever mileage you want to on it...but you can do that ONLY once. That's it. No more.
