Inconsistent A/C Temps
For about a year, my 1998 1.8T's A/C blows pretty much whatever temp it feels like. I can "suggest", say, 72 F, but generally, the hotter it is outside, the more reticent the system is it blow really cold air. If I really lower the temp (say 67), then the A/C gets a hint and blows good and cold. Sometimes the air will get suddenly blow much colder without me even touching any controls. The fan speed doesn't change up or down irratically, although it tends to also be reticent about staying above 3 or 4 bars without manual intervention. The on-board diags show no problems. Any ideas on what's wrong, or which sensor is bad?
