Increase the HP & Torque
What is the most efficient way to increase the HP & Torque of a 2001 FWD A4 1.8t without voiding the warranty or all mod/upgrade usually will void the warranty ?
Is K&N filter going to be more effective for turbo-charged cars ? Will the Audi service guy refuse to do the 4 yrs maintaince work after any mod/upgrade ?

mods will not "void" the warranty like you think...
first, of course the part replaced by the mod will not be covered by audi, because its not their part. thats obvious.
second, no dealer should deny scheduled maintenance due to ANY mod. they just might not cover the repair bill if the cause of any damage to the stock audi parts is the direct result of the mod itself.
i have a chip, and have been in for scheduled service. no problems there. i have also had the stock diverter valve replaced under warranty while my chip was installed. the faulty diverter valve was not a result of the chip, therefore was still covered by the warranty.

www.goapr.com. chip with K&N filter. my next purchase will be a new bypass valve to keep my boost.

Is there a diff between diverter valve and bypass? (m)
I assume these are the same, so am wondering why you would need a new one if the dealer had already replaced one?
I believe mine is leaking boost, the dealer is not "chip friendly" and as a result I have found it hard to make the leak audible under stock boost levels. How did they determine yours needed replacement?
