intake systems that work

I'm looking for a good intake system that actually works. I heard that the cone filters are the best as long as you can shield the heat. I am still under warrenty and dont want to viod it. so any solutions for power gain. Even if it is makeshift parts or just wrapping my filter box with heat shield. Its on a 1999 1.8T quattro maual

The horn (bell mouth) on the MAF housing. The warning in red on that link is speaking of that.
