K04 sputtering problems.....
I have a k04-15, 5 bar fpr, RVM bypass valve, giac software.
I tried doing the TB adaption, I tried swtiching back to the stock FPR, nothing changed.
I still have the bypass valve running with no spacers in it to make it any harder, would that create this? Should I try adding spacers or even the stock bypass valve?
The car ran fine with this setup with the stock chip in it, but once I put the chip in, this all started, but I don't know that it would be just the chip because the boost levels are much higher now so it could cause something else to show up.
Any ideas? PLEASE!

Does this help? Do I have a bad plug? To answer questions, it starts sputtering about 15 lbs of boost or so, it boost then flutters from about 13-15 and rpms hold pretty much still but climb slightly. I have however seen it on a downshift today hit 19lbs then drop once rpms are up. I just ran the old ECU on it and it still runs fine......at 7 lbs.
I got tired of this whole thing, so I picked up a 93 RX7. A4 is the daily driver now.
Do a search of my screen name and see my MANY posts on this topic. Good Luck. If you find the problem, drop me a line. By the way, I have a 97, also.
