k40 laser diffuser

Well, got hit for the second time this year with
Laser with no time to react. The V1 alerted me to the laser, but by then it was too late.

Does anyone have any experience with k40's active
laser diffuser product (the thing that is built into a license plate frame).

There was another one that received very high reviews, but I can't remember the name...

I think it was Lidatek or something like that. Their diffuser was discontinued, but their website indicated that they will be releasing an updated version. What leaves me a little confused is why they are "transitioning to a new product", if the old diffuser worked so well? Leads me to believe that maybe the original is no longer allowed to be made, so they are working on something else...perhaps less effective? Dunno. Found a review of the Lidatek vs. K40...
