Keyless entry remote
Hi all, I tried searching for this with no luck. I just recently purchased a 2000 A4 1.8T quattro. Vehicle only came with one aftermarket key it appears. I have the original window sticker that states car has keyless entry. I purchased a key fob off of ebay for my model year and even installed new batteries in it and followed the directions in the owners manual as far as syncronizing the key fob to the car but no luck. Anyone know if you have to take the vehicle to the dealer to have it reprogramed? or can I do it myself with vag-com? I purcashed the wire and downloaded the file. Please let me know and Thanks again.

follow programming directions in B5 FAQ--if they don't work, you probably got wrong frequency...
remote for your year or it is nonfunctional.
