Keyless entry remote programming
I just bought a used remote from ebay ($15 with shipping). Obviously it came with keyed for someone elses car so I couldn't follow the FAQ instructions exactly.
If you are trying to re-program a remote that is not keyed to operate your locks yet, you can do what I did:
Put your original switchblade remote in the ignition, put the valet key in the door and follow the instructions in the Tech section. The key you are programming doesn't actually have to be the key in the drivers door, any key that will lock and unlock your door will do.
This is probably old news, but it wasn't obvious from the FAQ so I thought I'd post it.
