Limp mode

My transmission just went into limp mode (only gear 2 is available, etc...) Is there a way that I can clear this with a VAG tool? Advice? Dealer is booked out a week or so.

You should be able to clear any codes with a VAG GOM, but that doesn't mean that it wont just go right back into limp home mode. What brought it on, did you un plug anything under the hood and forget to re connect it?

I'd look at the dtc's to find out WHY first.

Then clearing the codes should work.

No error codes listed. I'm going to get my stock ECU put in to see if that helps.

Nope, didn't unplug anything. I was at a park enjoying lunch and went to go back to work and no "D"

Check ALL areas, not just the engine.

any number of dtc's can throw the car into limp - look at transmission, and airbag. looking at engine does not show you ALL dtc's.
