Looking to get an 01 A4...
I am looking at a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro 5 Speed that is priced really well at $8995 but the mileage is pretty high and scaring me away. It has 99,960 miles. Anyone have any advice or things I should look for on the car?

make sure the timing belt and water pump have been changed, tire rod ends, control arms, brakes and
I would take it to a mechanic that you trust and have them check it out. The car will be fine with that many miles as long as there isnt to much deferred maintenance.

which means you could offer $7500 and probably get it for $8k out the door. ::sigh::
with 100k, I'd look over every engine oil, trans, and diff seal.
timing belt, water pump, etc. service would need to have been done by 60-75k.
check all control arms, TREs, etc.
exhaust for leaks.
make sure the a/c works.
typical used car buying stuff.
