looking to start modding the A4...

I'm a bit weary about the whole warranty voiding issue so I'm planning on sticking to mods that are outside of the engine management system(no chip for now). So anyways.... here's the list of things I'd like to do near christmas time. So i'm looking for some suggestions.

rims: Sportec, Kahn RSS
Suspension: H&R/Bilsteins or just straight H&R C/O's?
Lights: Euro S4 HID housings
Exhaust: ???
Brakes: StopTech/Brembo/OEM?
BOV: TT/Forge?

Anyways gimme some suggestions as to where to start!

Sportec 18's are like 5 a piece... so 2500 for that + tires... minus the $$ from selling my celebration wheels... so about 3200 out of my pocket, not too bad =)

general price on the C/O's?

If you're looking at putting 18" rims on, do the suspension first. 18's without lowering doesn't look good IMHO, the thin side wall makes the fender gap look bigger.

So, possibly suspension first, then wheels. If you're going 17's, then forget everything I just said. I'm waiting for my Koni CO's (on backorder from SPP) before I put on my 18's.

As far as S4 E-code's, their awesome. The citylights are sweet, love the clear corners (my car is silver, but looks even better dark colors) and the beam pattern is like night and day. I have all the side view I had before, but much more front veiw. You can see waaaay out there, without raising them up to annoy other drivers.

Can't comment on the others 'cause I haven't done them ........ yet.

I guess you could buy five wheels, though I think most people only buy four. Also, what do you think your wheels are worth? If you say $2500 for wheels and $1000 for tires, you get $3500. You say $3200 out of pocket, meaning your wheels are worth $300. At that price keep them for spares.

As for brakes, if you don't track the car why replace them? Stock brakes are fine for street driving. Likewise, unless you live in lousy weather or track the car there is no need for coilovers, shocks and springs will suffice.
