i'm so lost already its been months that we already diagnose the car went to the dealer to everyshop i know that could do it but they couldnt and i dont want to buy any part for my car that theres no damage or nothing wrong with it,my car is a A$ 1.8 5v turbo,year 2000.my problem is the culprit shows up from time to time only,when i use my car it starts well but when i leave it for 2 days and i try to start it my cluster gauge either flickers and my date and time always reset.but this doesnt happen all the time thats why im wondering,my batteries are new,sockets and wirings fixed,grounds are fine....where do i go?how can i say that its my cluster when it runs its all lit up theres this one time that my car cranks and dies after 2 seconds and my cluster isnt lit,so i took off the negative in my battery then returned it then it works fine ...whenever it wouldnt run i have to do this something about reseting the ecu but a blown or faulty ecu wouldnt let my car run normally rright?so i dont think its the ecu either.....pls help

She posted before wondering where she could get a new IC, because the dealer there wanted an insane <i>$1500</i> for the replacement.

ECS Tuning is a great OEM and aftermarket store that I use often. Another store recommended in these parts is Impexfap, a great forgien auto parts source, both used and new. Hopefuly someone will post more sites for you.
