MAF?!?!?!?

I was wondering if it was alright for me to put in a used MAF sensor into my 99 2.8. Mine just recently went bad, and I am a little short on cash at the moment. ANyways just wanted to know what you all thought on this situation. Also, how hard is it to install a MAF? TIA

I did some checking a month ago and the dealership has them for $70. Not $300+ like before.

Pretty easy to install. Go to the dealer as yellow suggested.

They'll sell you a remanufactured MAF for about $80. If they don't know what you're talking about, have them add and "X" to the normal part number, and that should pull up the remanufactured version.

installed a used MAF last year

And it works just fine. Also, according to yellow, 70 bucks at a dealer is really cheap. I paid that for getting one out of a salvaged A4 down in NC.

This should take you at MOST 20 minutes or so to install. let us know if you have other questions.
