Default Mud flaps

Does anyone have the Audi mud flaps? Do they look good or are they flat pieces of plastic with an Audi logo on it?

I have the mud gaurds. They are contoured to the car. They actually look pretty good considering they are mud-gaurds. I drove through some construction during the rain and got some stains on the paint behind the wheel. They are barely noticable now, but I got the gaurds just to be safe.

Default I had them on my '96 -- nice fit/finish, look good & functional. I can post pics...

Default I have front and rear -- have only installed front so far.

They are not just flat pieces of plastic. They are well shaped and fit well and look good. I think only the rear ones have the four rings on them, and the fronts have no marking. They are hard plastic, not really flimsy or flappy plastic like some mud flaps. I think the name splash guards might be more fitting.
The fronts are pretty easy to install. You just remove two torx head screws and then put the flaps on with them. There's two clips that are a little tricky at first that need to be installed, but I didn't think it was that difficult.
For the rear flaps, you need to drill a couple of holes into plastic (not metal). I just haven't taken the time to do it.
I think that the flaps do not detract from the good looks of the car, but then again, I have Santorin Blue, so they don't stand out a lot. I still think they'd look good on a light colored car, but you'll have to make that decision for yourself.
I think someone here mentioned the flaps scraping the ground, or speed bumps. I've had no problems, but I don't have the sport suspension.
Drew S.
Default Look fine. Only problem is....

Rear flaps can scrape pavement because they hang down too low, especially if you have sport package (which lowers car). Only some situations. More annoying than anything else.
Erik

I bought front and rear flaps from Clair (they new the parts and I had them in like 48 hours!). As below, they are hard plastic and look decent. They come with very good installation instructions, actually. I too have installed only the fronts (25 minutes, including cleaning where they sit). The rear installation requires a little drilling (into plastic only, I think), but the wheels have to be removed. My dealer will install them during my 7500 tire rotation (actually snow tire placement) service. I have the sport suspension, and there has been some concern expressed about scraping rear flaps with this slightly lower set-up.

Default They WILL scrape with the sport pack.

I have them all the way around. They will scrape when cornering hard on an uneven surface and while going through driveways etc. It's worth the protection though.
