Multiple Electrical System Faults
I have a 2000 A4. This morning the turn signals, high and low beams (left and right), wipers and washers, heater blower motor, fog lights and horn do not work. There may be other systems that also do not work as I could not/did not check everything. I have visually checked the 9 fuses that power these systems and they are all fine. I suspect a fusible link or wiring harness failure. I have the following questions: Does this car use fusible links? If so, where are they located and how do I access them? Has anyone had fusible link failures? What was the cause? Has anyone had a wiring harness failures? Where was the point of failure? By the way, I have not added any after market electrical devices (power amps, remote starters, etc.).
One other possibility that nags at me is a faulty ignition switch. Anyone have problems with that? Any advice on how to remove and replace?
