what is this & which model(s) will it be on?

It's a CVT transmission, able to handle more power than any currently out there. Offered on A4 (FWD only for now) and I think some of the A6's though I'm not sure.


It's as fast maybe faster than stick.

will be in a4's,front track only.supposed to be able to handle more torque[not power].audi trannies presently have 300-lbs torque capability before they gernade.on paper the cvt should handle this no problem,time will soon tell

it has 6 different ratios[tip tronic is 1-6]

there is no electric clutch.it's direct drive,just a flywheel,dampner and a input shaft
