A couple of weeks ago, I had my local shop do a chip swap for me because i was going in for service. Once they did it, the car wouldnt start. After trying everything we can do, we just had it flatbedded to the dealer to have it checked. I have conferred with the people at Wetterauer and they also did what they can. I even sent the ecu back to them and they said it was working fine. I just had no options left.<p>Anyway, my dealer didnt ask any questions about the chip and they just replaced the whole ECU without my notice. They said it was sent back to Audi. Now I have a new stock ECU and no socket to put back my Wett chip. My shop talked to Wetterauer and they said they can put a new socket for the wett chip in the new ecu. <p>My problem is that I am scared that when Audi Canada finds out about the problem with the ECU my dealer sent back, they will void my warranty and charge me for that new ECU which is about $1600 canadian. What should I do? Should I have my new ECU sent to Wett for them to put in a new socket or should I just wait for a few more weeks if Audi finds out? <p>There was a post somewhere below that it is the dealers fault if they did a warranty job on something that could have been an aftermarket problem it was their liability. Is this true?<p>Please help me. I just don't know what to do right now. I feel so opressed having less power now. I just can feel the difference so much.<p>Thanks for any help.<p>Patrick Chan
