NEED HELP...

Check engine light came on this morning on my way to work. Do you think the dealer is going to blame my LLTek intake for this problem? First time the light ever came on for me. Just installed the intake a month ago. Should I put the factory airbox back into the engine? I already have an apporntment next week for a different reason. Some suggestions please....

I doubt if it has anything to do with the intake. But to be on the safe side, why not throw...

the airbox back in just for your appointment..

Actually, it is probably an intake install issue with MAF sensor. CE light is very sensitive to MAF

so you may want to make sure it is attached correctly.

But that would have come on right away, not weeks after the fact..

Unless the connector is loose..

And, with the tip, the trannie would have gone into limp home mode with the MAF unplugged, creating more questions.. BTDT..

Not necessarily, The oil that is used in the Aftermarket filter can cause the MAF

to screw up after a month or two of use.

Thanks, things I have noticed since just before the light came on..

I went to the Northeast Aftermarket show on Saturday, bought my baby some new sway bars, cross tower, and eyelids... ya thick she would have been happy with all the new parts coming in but...She starts to give me this trouble. On the way home me and a Civic decided to play cat and mouse on the highway and I was pushing the car harder than normal for about 45 minutes. Since then the engine felt a little rough. Then this morning I started and it was really rough but no light. The light didn't come on til about 10 minutes later. Then the shfting started to act up. Lately it has been shifting pretty harshly but the dealer said there are no errors. I just took it out at lunch and it is still acting up.... I am gonna check all the connections after work and run it for tomorrow and if she doesn't clear up the factory air box is going back in so that he dealer can't say anything about it. Then after he tells me what the problem was I will decide if I want to put the intake back in. That is my plan and thanks for your help!
