Need help diagnosing a problem
On my way home from work today I began experiencing a low rumble from the front of my car under acceleration. It seems to occur when I apply anything more than minimal pressure to the gas pedal and starts rumbling around 2800rpm. CEL came on as I pulled into my driveway. I did a search and it seems like people with similar rumblings have problems ranging from boost leak, wheel bearing, CV joint. I have about 101k on the car so I think any of these could be a possibility. Is there anything I can do to narrow this down some more? Should I drive the car at all or get it taken directly to the shop?

First, hook up a VAG-Com to read the codes....
My guess is at 101k if you have not done bearings(wheel) yet, your coming close. I've replaced all 4 of ours at about 75k. Post in the local forums to see if someone local has a VAG-Com that they are willing to help you out with.

You need to check codes with VAG-COM and then decide.
I would lean towards not driving it. Pop the hood and look for obvious problems.
If you don't have vag-com, MAYBE I would limp to Autozone and have them check codes for me. Autozone will only give numbers, but a quick search on Audiworld or Ross-tech should tell you what's up.
