need help quick
Installing t-belt and I felt like it was about a half a tooth off. So i marked the cam shaft gear in the same place on the gear and belt and i rotated the gears until they met back up but they were off by 4 teeth???? I remember people saying 1/2 tooth is correct but it should line up with the same mark right?

On the site the kit says

I forgot to do the water pump and had to do this.
To compress the tensioner, I used a big screwdriver or wrench as a fulcrum. IIRC, there was a solid point on the block close by... I might have partially threaded a nearby bolt. Anyway, I got a firm pivot and slowly pushed down hard. I remember needed most of my weight (175lbs). You'll need both hands and full concentration and a helper to put the pin back in.
You still have the pin, right? a super duper paper clip might suffice if threw it out.
