Need Help with remote start.

I just installed a viper 791xv. The problem is that when I try to start with the doors locked the factory alarm goes off. If I start within 30 seconds of arming the alarm will unlock the drivers door - start - then relock. but if i wait longer than the 30 seconds the horn and lights go off. Any suggestions will be a big help. Thanks

did you hook the disarm wire to the unlock wire?

I tried that but the locks did not work right. When I push lock (arm) it would lock then unlock right away.

You don't need to disarm the factory alarm.

You only need to bypass the factory alarm's ignition sense wire. This also leaves the stock alarm armed while running.
