need ideas on a small problem
Now although this problem is small, keep in mind that I'm incredibly lazy on a day to day basis.
Sometimes when I'm pumping gas, the pump will click off like the tank is full, but then when I get up and go over there the toll says like $8.00. The amount of gas changes, sometimes at 3/4 tank, sometimes at 1/2 etc. Is there something easy I can do to fix this? or should I be hauling it to the dealer for warranty (costs $50)?

Set pump on lowest flow setting . . .
the higher the flow, the more back pressure and/or gas fumes that the pump picks up. At slow flow rates, the fuel goes in without creating much back pressure. So, the sensor on the pump does not prematurely shut off the flow.
Each pump you encounter will have a different level of sensitivity--even at the same gas station.
So, do not worry about it, just resign yourself to waiting a little longer for the car to fill-up.
