Default need a quick response for pricing...
headed to a dealer in an hour or so... just would be interested in knowing how much over invoice people have paid for a MY01 1.8TQMS with the bose audio, cold weather, leatherette, and xenon package... dealer has it at $31,540 (every option except triptonic).

Between 5% and 7% were god deals for the MY2000 cars. Based on that, I went to edmunds.com, added up the invoice of ALL the options (minus tiptronic), which included the phone, and hte sport front seats, in addition to everything you stated. I added that to the invoice of the car ($21.840), and multipied it by 8% to be fair, since the demand is fairly high for 2001's. The number I got was $29,090. You may be able to get him at or below this number, based on my calculations.

Default Sounds like MSRP; shoot for 4-5% over invoice
I was fortunate enough to get a similarly equipped 2001 for ~3% over, but I think that's better than average.

2001 Santorin 1.8T QMS headed north on the truck, somewhere on I-55

Default That sounds awfully expensive for something without the sport or tip.
I paid less than that for the same options + tip and sports, and mine's a MY'01.

Default Does looey know how to Read?
The car stated has Sport. Hence the 1.8TQMS

Just bought a 2001. Priceline.com recommends offering $1,300 over invoice. Autobytel has negotiated $1,600 over invoice. Work down from there.

I got mine for $600 over invoice through AutoByTel. The name of the dealership is Wiekem Motors in Ohio.
