Next Mod

what is the next few mods I can make for speed...not interested in spending 10K, just projects I can look forward to as I go.

I will not be racing my car so handling and brake mods aren't neccessary.

I am interetested in some exterior mods but I'd like to keep the car as stock as possble for stealth reasons.

I like surprising people at stoplights with a normal looking car. Too many spoilers would just be embarrassing if I, myself, got caught by a ringer.

exhaust.......

but if you are serious about speed (like top speed), I would consider suspension and some good rubber just for safety.

....and don't forget some yellow decals.

Exhaust I know about...Plugs, ok...I don't know what a BPV (by-pass valve?) upgrade will do for me...e-codes?

some answers and my 2 cents

long story short, the by-pass valve helps the turbo, and it is one of the first stock parts that will tend to stop functioning properly when you chip the ecu... so people who have chipped will usually upgrade or replace theirs....

e-codes are the european spec headlights... basically they lay more light onto the road in more places that you need it. they have a much more sensable light pattern.

As for my two cents, I think that a large part of speed comes from the bi-product of handling and stopping, but then again, I'm not as big of a fan of the 1/4 mile or 0-60 as you seem to be.... look in the tech articles for some good mods that'll help your car all over, inside and out, performance and looks....
