No Check Engine light while in the On position

Engine doesn't run either. Just got my ECU socketed with a GIAC chip, and it ran great from when I put it in till now. I think I installed it around Friday night and made sure to do the throttle-body adap, and maybe put 5-600 miles on it. Ran like a Banshee man, really fast. Pulled up to a stop light and when I gave it the gas the engine died and I coasted into a gas station. Now the check engine light DOESN't come on and the Evo MS guys said it should. Need some advice to say the least.

Check the ECU connections, and the socket if you dare.

I believe that means the car is not communicating with the ECU. Make sure the ECU is plugged

in correctly and the chip is socketed correctly.

Had that happen on mine - had to replace the ECU chip socket -

Think they called it a decryptor.

Tap on the ECU and see if the CEL comes on, then you'll know it's the chip.

Happened to me with my APR. Had to send it back to get it resoldered... twice!

Problem == GIAC Chip died...

Evo MS must have given me the Micro$oft Windows version of the chip because damned if I just didn't get a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) from my car. Thank God I had my ECU socketed and was able to swap the GIAC out for my stock chip. Sending the GIAC chip back to Evo MS today to get it fixed/re-flashed/ported to Linux. Now I'm just driving around making vroom vroom sounds as my car feels slower than crap now. Man that chip is the friggin shiz-nit, and thought it was just 1.0 bar and not 1.3 bar! Hmmm, gonna have to get some race gas I'm thinkin'. Wife will love that one...
