Offset Problems
Anyhow, I'm going to mount them tonight, but am afraid they're going to stick out too much. The wheels are 17x7.5" on a 98.5 w/sport suspension.
I've read a fair amount in the archives, but just want to clarify a few things...
1. Are they going to look butt ugly sticking out so far?
2. Anybody have pics with a similar setup?
3. Can a wider wheel with an ET33 cause wheel bearing damage, or shorten the lifespan significantely?
4. I think I might have to drop the car a bit (maybe 1-1.5"), will this cause any problems with the 225/45/17" tires rubbing?
5. What exactly are rolled fenders?
I'm getting carried away aren't I? I'm sure everything will be fine, I've just never done wheel and possibly suspension mods before, so I don't now what to expect.
You shouldn't have any rubbing issues.
Rolled fenders are bending the lip of the fender wheel arch to keep it from rubing and touching the tires. If done correctly the paint will not crack. I don't think you need this. BTW I have 17x7.5 wheels and my car is not lowered.
