one headlight doesn't work
my pass side headlight doesn't work.
I pulled the cluster**** apart and the bulb looks fine. The filament seems fine. hmm.
I notice some plastic hanging out there. yeah, somebody broke off a piece of the ring that holds the whole thing together.
So thats where im at right now.
so this brings me to 3 main questions.
1. why doesnt the light work if the bulb is fine, should i check the voltage of those wires with the lights on?
2. How do i get the headlights off the car. I wanted to glue the piece back on, and if thats not possible, get a new headlight.
3. The other light still works and the high beams on that side work. WTF is up.
oh and 4. why the hell does audi have to make things soo much more complicated then they are.

I found the switch for 136, is that about the going rate. it includes the switch for the cruise control.
Where is the relay? i just want to check that before i buy the part.
My corner lights do still work, so would that still indicate that the switch was bad?

it was under warrenty so dealer fixed the problem.
Im not sure what they would have charged to fix this. After looking closer at your name I assume you have an 89 100. I didnt notice that before, I dont know much about those, sorry.
Mine was 99 a4 I was refering to. The corner lights still did work, actually all lights worked except the low beams. One quit working and about two days later the other quit working, all other lights still worked.

that helps. you probably already figured it out but ill post this anyway
For the passenger headlight fuse 20 is low beam. It is in the very top right corner of the fuse box. If it isnt blown I would say it is the switch or faulty wiring.
Incase you wonder
fuse 21 driver low beam - right below 20
fuse 18 passenger high beam
fuse 19 driver high beam
