Default Other Performance?
Also beyond the chiping of the car what are the best cost/performance wise enhancements for a 97 1.8t? Do new air filters help a tiny bit as well?

Sharp looking car... what type of hp/torque are you getting now? and what's the changes costing? Is it doable yourslef?

Any real hp/torque upgrades beyond chipping are pretty expensive

Default Powergasket for the intake manifold
A PowerGasket will give you about 5% more HP and 3% torque and will prevent/deter heatsoak on the turbo.

Default If you are talking about K&N/intake.......
Intake, not so much.. If you like the blow off valve sound, get intake... As far as a 'performance' filter, just stick with OEM... K&N filters are not good for our cars, a lot of people who run them, eventually have problems with them...

Default i just got my intake installed
EvoMS AireTek intake. I have much better throttle response in the high end.
