Overboost problem

Ok, so basically, I was driving my car and it felt super fast. When i looked over at what was happening, i noticed i was boosting at 19 psi on the stock ko3. I'm not leaning out whcih is good becasue I guess of my bigger injectors and fuel regulator but i was just wondering if this can be casued with an aftermarket ecu. I have a neuspeed ecu in my car for about 3 years or so and never had problem like this before so i was just wondering if the ecu could be trippin out or if my turbo is just done. I know that my wastegate rod isn't broken becasue i looked at it and it was fine. TIA.

maybe your N75 is on its way out?

Some crimped lines might cause overboosting, etc.

Your best bet is a VAG-com.

it could be intake leak. The turbo will spool up much higher to make up for the leak.

Usually you'll get a VAG-code "positive deviation max pressure" or something like that.
It probably won't cause the MIL light to stay on.
The engine might (but not allways) go into limp mode (little or no boost) if the boost stays too high for too long a period.

i don't think its a intake leak becasue before it happened, i never saw it go past 13 which its programmed for. I'm thinking its the n75 like mike said.
