paint question
two scratchs about 1/2 inch long with a little scrap between them in an area about the size of a dime. Anyone have any advise on how best to get this fixed. I'm afraid they will say they have to repaint the whole door. I don't like this idea. Not just because of the cost (which I have no idea how much it would be), but also because I'm afraid the paint won't quite match and a whole door would be much more noticable than using just touch up paint on a small spot.
Anyways, I was looking for some ideas and suggestions on how best to fix it.
In addition to the paint damage, is there a dent? If so, have a paintless dent repair company such as Dent Pro remove it. They'll come to your home or work and the results are excellent. I've used Dent Pro; I'm VERY picky and can tell you that after they worked their magic I could find no signs of the dings.
As for the scratches, get a bottle of touch-up paint from your dealer. Apply the paint to the scratches using a brush or match head. Then use LANGKO to smooth out the painted area. This product is supposed to make the touched-up area look practically invisible by removing the "bead" of touch-up paint. I haven't yet used the product so can't speak from 1st hand experience, but I ordered some yesterday based upon posts here at AudiWorld. (Do a search and read what others have to say.)
I've included the LANGKA web site address. Good luck!<p>mpuzach
