plastic engine guard problem
I was driving along when suddenly a loud scraping noise was going on under my car. I go out to investigate and find that the plastic bottom out guard(or whatever may be) has become possibly the greatest street sweeping audi in the world. If i take it off is there any real danger to the front bottom of the car if i remove it, cuz the bolt came right out and i dont have the time to fix it till tomorow. Thanks

there was a thread about his maybe 6 months ago...
IIRC the belly pan not only protects the underside of the car, but it also serves to draw hot air out of the engine. The engine actually ran hotter without the pan on.

You can take it off for a day but I would put it back on as soon as possible
as it protects the oil pan and several other key engine components beneath the car. Be grateful it didnt rip off like mine did on the highway because they cost about $150 with bolts and all at the stealership.
