Default Please help -- caliper piston problems

I tried changing pads and rotors this morning on my quattro -- everything was going smooth until it came time to compress the piston. It needs to be threaded in in order to allow the new (thicker) parts to be put on but neither of the rears will go. (I didnt even get to the fronts yet!). I spoke with an Audi mechanic before starting the job and he said there was nothing tricky about the job just to watch for the pistons (and the threading). I've tried everything and cant get the piston back in the caliper. Its not seized and does turn freely but just will not retract. The bleeder screw is open and the lid is off the reservoir. Cant find anything specific in the forum.

CAN ANYONE HELP?

Thanks.
Ron

Default you need to turn and push at the same time for the rears. front are just push in

searched would have shown that as well.

Default is that a joke? it's on sale for $34

Considering the cost for taking it in and having someone change your brakes for you, it's a steal. Come on! It comes with a bunch of adapters so you can use it after the Audi is dead and gone.
