Please be seated ??

My rear elevation on my drivers side seat is not elevating or declineing. It could be the switch, motor or a fuse, anybody have this problem? Or know how to fix it or point me in the right direction, I dont want raped by the dealer? again

You again?? Does the seat move in all other directions??

If so, blame the switch till you know otherwise.

The seat does move everywhere else but the problem comes in becaue Im 6'2" and one day when I got in my head hit the roof, The back elevation is suck in the highest position and I look and feel like an old lady sitting that high! I just dont know where to look?

I wish I could help more, but I have little experience with the seats...

maybe later I will look in the Bentley and see what things to look at..

i had this problem and my seat was jacked to the highest position

for both up/down controls. so i had to roll ghetto style by leaning my seat back. but i had mine replaced at no cost while still under warranty. they told me that the motor was fried.

now my sunroof goes *slide* *slide* whenever it wants to. could it be yet another fried 96 A4 motor?

I had a similar problem with my '96.

It turned out that the wire had broken off where it enters the connector under the seat. Moving the seat over a period of 4 years had flexed the wire enough to break. It was an easy fix, so check that connector.
