Default Possible Boost Problem--HELP
alright, i installed my VDO boost gauge about a week ago or so, no problems. got a question though, how much boost are we supposed to get from the stock engine, no chip or anything. i'm getting about 20 HG at idle and it never goes over 10psi under heavy acceleration. isn't it supposed to go up to 15 then come back to like 12 or so? any help or suggestions would be appreciated

You're spiking @ 10psi ~ .7 -.9 is normal.

No, I get about 12-15 steady, with spikes up to 18 with a chip, so a spike at 10 sounds normal w/o

Theres something wrong with my setup then I get 15psi with spikes to 18psi

18??? That can't be good for the ol turbo over a period of time

Seriously it usually hangs at 15 but I've seen the needle hit 18then drop
